    • 3) Clerics side with people of Iran   (02:15 AM)

Ever since the fraudulent Presidential Elections in Iran in June 2009, the role of Shiite clerics from Qom and even Iraq in standing up to the coup government of Ahmadinejad and its backers has been unprecedented throughout the 30 year history of the Islamic Republic to say the least.

    • 4) The Green Movement and the Myth of Shame of the Middle Class   (18:39 PM)

Feminist School:A new movement called the “Green Movement” has recently been born in our country. This newborn movement has its own specific demands, its known representatives and ideological leadership, and a vast and specific network of executive forces and activists. It also has certain technological and digital capabilities and its specific mechanisms to connect its members and mobilize them.

    • 5) MEMOIRS OF NOVEMBER 4TH   (19:11 PM)

Metro was more crowded than a typical day. One reading newspaper. One solving a puzzle. One staring at nowhere. Some girls talking. There were also some boys with stylish hair. There were no sign of green wristband. I wondered “today, november4th won’t be crowded as much.

    • 7) Gearing up for 13 Aban   (18:17 PM)

To the outside world, street protests in Iran appear to have 'died down' since summer ended. Yet the opposition movement, driven underground, has strategically slated mass turnouts for calendar dates such as September's Qods Day, which turned the government's annual tradition of anti-Israel rallies on its head. By targeting dates of historic significance to the regime, opposition supporters aim to 'subvert' ideological symbols touted for 30 years by the Islamic Republic and thereby re-brand that date as an ideology-free 'green' day, the trademark color of the country's burgeoning pro-democracy movement.

    • 10) The reign of lies in Iran, fell; on Quds Day.   (21:52 PM)

Today is the first Quds day in Iran, in which IRNA/IRIB suddenly ceased their live coverage of the marches. Today is the first Quds Day, in which the Islamic republic of Iran, instead of encouraging the participation of the people in the marches, it has invited them to stay at home and has threatened them with “resolute action”!

    • 12) Sanctions Unlikely to Stop Iran's Nuclear Quest   (20:42 PM)

      1. "Unless Iran responds positively to President Obama's offer of talks on its nuclear program by next month, it could face what Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calls 'crippling sanctions.' That was the message from Administration officials touring the Middle East in recent weeks. And it's backed by congressional moves to pass legislation aimed at choking off the gasoline imports on which Iran relies for almost a third of its consumption, by punishing third-country suppliers. It sounds impressive and, for an undiversified economy like Iran's, potentially calamitous. But a number of Iran analysts are skeptical that new sanctions will break the stalemate."
    • 13) Throwing Ahmadinejad a Lifeline   (20:40 PM)

      1. "In an effort to squeeze Iran into submission over its nuclear policy, Congress and the White House are edging toward a gasoline embargo. This would do nothing to force Iran into submission. In fact, it would be a blessing for the hard-line government to once again be able to point to a foreign threat to justify domestic repression and consolidate its base at a time when opposition to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is increasing among conservatives. An effective gasoline embargo can only be implemented through a naval blockade. This would require U.N. Security Council approval — a tortuous process with no certain outcome. An embargo without U.N. approval is an act of war according to international law, and Iran has declared that it would be met with force."

    • 14) Iran’s Flip-Flopper Supreme Leader   (08:03 AM)

On June 19, a week after Iran’s disputed presidential election, the supreme leader shed the garb of the lofty arbiter to deliver a raging sermon in which he warned of “bloodshed and chaos” in Tehran if protests continued. They did, the next day, and I will never forget the blood that flowed at Khamenei’s behest.

    • 15) For My Soon-To-Be-Born Daughter   (07:21 AM)

    • 17) The Reports of Secret Burials   (06:41 AM)

The news of the secret burial of martyrs of recent protests has gained widespread coverage in the media in recent days.
