    Shahpour Kazemi the brother of Zahra Rahnavard was released just hours ago on bail according to Mir Hossein Mousavi’s official website Kaleme.

    According to reports, 20 students from the University of Gilan who had were opposed to a speech delivered by Ahmadinejad’s former Culture Minister Saffar Harandi on 8 November have been summoned to the disciplinary committee of the University.

    The leader of one of Iran’s most well-known prodemocracy student organisations Ahmad Zeidabadi has been sentenced to 6 years in prison plus 5 years of forced exile and a lifelong ban from civil and social activities.

    Reza Khademi who had been arrested in his father’s house on the 13th of June has been sentenced to death by a Revolutionary Court.

    Ehsan Fattahian, a Kurdish Iranian activist who had been held in the central prison of Sanandaj (capital of the Iranian Kurdistan province) has been executed.

    The legal representative for the imprisoned reformist politician Mohsen Safaei Farahani has told ISNA news agency that his client’s trial will take place on Saturday 14th of November at the revolutionary court.

    According to the Committee of Human Rights Reporters, many of those who took part in the anti-government protests on the 4th of November have been transferred to the notorious Evin Prison. They were subsequently distributed among the different wards of Evin Prison according to their charges and the security body which had arrested them.

    According our early reports from various schools around the country, many students started the day with chants of “dead to the dictator.” Students are also said to be singing famous opposition songs in preparation for today’s demonstrations.

    It seems that heavy sentences for those jailed following the presidential election in June are yet to continue. According to unofficial reports, Ahmad Zaidabadi and Kian Tajbakhsh have been sentenced to 7 and 12 years in prison respectively.

    Just hours ago, a prayer service held for the release of Seyed Shahaboddin Tabatabaei and other political prisoners, was raided and more than a dozen people were arrested. Among the arrested were relatives of those already in prison.

    After 45 days of imprisonment, the family of Dr Mohammad Maleki, the first ever president of Tehran University after the revolution released a statement in which they expressed concern about Dr Malek’s condition. He had already been battling with several serious illnesses.

    Behzad Nabavi, one the most senior figures in the reformist camp and member of the Organisation of the Moujahidin of the Islamic Revolution has been taken to Baghiyatallah Hospital in Iran, due to hernia related complications. He is scheduled to undergo surgery.
