Although a few days ago the latest death toll of the post-election violence in Iran was announced to be 72, new information shows that the number of those killed following the June presidential election in Iran may well exceed 100.
According to a report submitted to Mowjcamp, the names of 3 more murdered victims who were killed in Tehran and handed over to their families in the province of Golestan are as follows: Mr. Esmaili from the city of Khan Beh Bin, Dr. Maghsoudlu from the city of Sarkhankalateh and Dr. Rahimi (female) from the city of Gorgan (all located in the province of Golestan). According to this report, the families of these victims were not allowed to hold open ceremonies and the family of Dr. Rahimi was forced into announcing the she had been poisoned to death.
Mowjcamp has also learned the name of another killed protestor is Majid Kamali born on 14 September 1985 in the city of Yazd and a resident of the neighbourhood of Emam Shahr in Yazd. According to our sources, Majid had been an activist in the green movement and was arrested around 6am on 25 August by security forces. His body was handed over to Afshar hospital at around 2pm the same day, where hospital officials refused to receive the body.
Details about the death of Mohammad Naderipour
Reliable sources close to a relative of the Naderipour family tell Mowjcamp that he was abducted by plain clothed security forces after leaving an exam session by car around 7pm on 1 July.
This source which wishes to remain anonymous explains that after going missing, his dead body was found inside his car in an area of Sirjan city. Incredibly the killer(s) had not stolen the car, its audio system, ID card, fuel rationing card or the amount of cash he was carrying which seems to suggest that the crime was political and somehow related to his activities after the elections.
According to this source after the cause of death being determined as “severe blows to the back of head” by forensics, his family was asked by police to bury his body as soon as possible.
The source who had already seen the body before forensic examination was carried out, states that even Mohammad’s shirt had not been torn off, suggesting that he had not resisted the killer(s), which weakens the argument that the motive for the killing was personal.
According to our source who also took part in Naderipour’s funeral, after forensics had finished their examinations police burnt Naderipour’s clothes and blanket in order to get rid of any evidence that might lead to finding the perpetrators of this crime. Even the plastic cover of the steering wheel had been removed so that no traces of fingerprints would remain.
The funeral was held in the village of Khabr which is a part of Baft city in Kerman province, where suspicious and unknown individuals believed to be security forces followed the developments closely and maintained control over the funeral proceedings.
Out of fear for the lives of other family members, especially their daughter who is a student in the city of Zahedan, the Naderipour family remained silent about their son’s tragic death. However after the leader recently stressed the need for identifying and prosecuting those responsible for post-election crimes and abuses, they are now seeking to spread the news of their son’s murder.
Our source maintains that the family of Mohammad Naderipour has been under pressure not to release details of their son’s demise, but have until now refrained from investigating this crime through the fact finding committees formed by Mahdi Karroubi and Mir-Hossein Mousavi. However they have now requested to meet with these committees to shed light on the murder of their loved one.
Mowjcamp would like to reiterate its call upon its readers to provide us with any information that would help us in uncovering the truth of the crimes committed against the Iranian citizens following the re-election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad through an election coup in June.
