Speaking to the Persian radio station Farda, Houshang Azhari who is the lawyer of Yahya Kian Tajbakhsh stated that Tajbakhsh had been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Other harsh prison sentences have also been handed down to other reformist politicians and activists arrested after the election results of the June 12 elections were announced.

Harsh sentences for political prisoners
It seems that heavy sentences for those jailed following the presidential election in June are yet to continue. According to unofficial reports, Ahmad Zaidabadi and Kian Tajbakhsh have been sentenced to 7 and 12 years in prison respectively.
