Trial of Mousavi brother-in-law held behind closed doors

In a statement released by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, it has been announced that the trial of Mir Hossein Mousavi’s brother-in-law was held on Nov 15th behind closed doors.

Shahpour Kazemi is the brother of Zahra Rahnavard and was arrested a few days after the fraudulent presidential election on 12 June. He has been in prison ever since his arrest. It is thought that Kazemi is being used as a political tool to exert pressure on Mir Hossein Mousavi and his wife in order to deter them from pursuing the rights of the Iranian people. Kazemi is an engineer with no political history prior to the elections in June.

The Revolutionary Court also announced that the trials of economic specialist Saeid Leilaz and the French teacher Clotilde Reiss will be held on Tuesday.

Saeid Leilaz has been a constant critic of Ahmadinejad’s economic policies and was arrested on June 17, just 5 days after the rigged election.
